Meet Chris

From Waikato apprentice to local business owner.

I grew up in Whitikahu, north-east of Hamilton, and went to college in Morrinsville before starting my electrical apprenticeship with Terry Boube Electrical, now Laser Electrical Morrinsville.

During those early years I was lucky to work across a huge variety of electrical projects, from large new cowsheds and new homes through to commercial jobs, school blocks, shop fit-outs and rural electrical work.

After qualifying, I worked in Hamilton on rental repairs, air conditioning circuits and commercial heat pump projects, before moving to Te Awamutu where I spent around seven years working across council maintenance, septic pump systems, water treatment plants, Waikeria Prison maintenance, housing and general electrical work.

In 2011, I decided it was time to start CO Electrical — a business I could build around the work I enjoy, the standards I believe in and the idea of creating something my family could grow up around and be proud of.

My wife Kylie and our boys are a big part of the CO Electrical story. The business has always been about working hard, doing quality work and creating something the kids can grow up around.
